Election Day HQ

Yay! \:D/ Election day is always fun! \:D/

So, anyway, I voted a few hours ago. I voted straight Republican down the ticket, though there is one I don't really like that I voted for... but, he's better than his rival. So yay. \:D/ I really like candidate Blackwell for governor, though all polls have him down quite a bit... either way, I think just about anyone would be better than our current governor Republican Bob Taft. :boohoo:

I actually had to wait a while at the voting place today, which is rare... yay for voter turn out! \:D/

I don't think he has much a chance now, since he's term limited out... :anxious:

I haven't gone yet, but I will! My voting place is really close, so we'll probably walk over there in a couple hours. \:D/

Jebediah there is my favorite of the Bush family... I'd rather have him as President than Georgey. :(

Personally I was really disappointed in Governer Jeb, because he didn't try hard enough to save Terry Schiavo's life, but that's a different story.

Sadly, I am just 18 days too young to vote...18 days until I'm 18 - oh the irony! :noway:

I will be voting next year though!

I just got back from voting. George Allen for senate, Bob Goodlatte for VA House of Delegates!

I also voted "yes" for the gay-marriage ban for the VA constitution. \:D/

I Love what we were told in church last week "by not voting you give up your sacred right to...complain." I did vote and frankly I'm glad all the calls are going to be done for at least another year.

I also voted by absentee a few days ago. I voted for McGavick over Maria Cantwell. YUCK! We have three very liberal women in charge of our state. Darn it. I want to get one of them out of there, if possible. It'd be considered a pretty big upset though.

I'm worried the Republicans are going to lose control of the house.

I voted a straight ticket for Republicans because most of the people I know and trust are Republican. The first time around I was impressed with Granholm, but now it just seems she hasn't done anything.

I voted for George Allen for Senate and Tom Davis for regional representative. And of course, for an amendment to the Virigina constitution that would define marriage (at least in Virginia).

My pastor summarized the party lines from the pulpit this sunday...
Democrats: "Voters, ask yourself if you're better off now than you were two years ago. Life basically stinks doesn't it? Don't vote for those republican scoundrals who have made it this way. Vote for me, a Democrat."

Republicans: "Voters, look at the wonderful life you have. Look at the wonderful country you live it. Remember we did this for you! And remember, vote for us this tuesday."
The Gospel:
Holy God in love became
Perfect man to bare my blame
On the Cross He took my sin
By His death I live again
