What books are you reading?

In the same vein as movie/music threads...

"Books? You want books?! Ha! We've got books on hairy otters, on onions and on mars! All the fungus you could care for, plus, three triple zillion stars. We've got books on flossing teeth, plus three books on tossing sheep. If we spent our lives just counting books, we'd never get to sleep!" -Leopold the Librarian ("The Great Wishy Woz")

The PreHistory of the Far Side. Which isn't really a book, but a very large comic book with lots of extra words in it. :-

I'm reading 'The Magician's Nephew" \:D/
It is an awesome book so far. It's kind of creepy, but it is a good book.

I love words. I love to sing them and speak them and even now, I must admit, I have fallen into the joy of writing them.

"Emily of New Moon" by L.M. Montgomery. I hadn't read the three Emily books in a while, and I had the urge to read through this excellent series again! \:D/

I finished the second Stonewycke novel, it was excellent. I am going to put Stonewycke aside for now because I have a pile of new books that are calling to me. Next up for me is The Judgement by Beverly Lewis, it is the second book in the Rose Trilogy. I have wanted to read this book ever since I read the first one.

I'm reading So Long, and Thanks for All the Fish by Douglas Adams (it's the forth Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy book), fun but this one would have a higher rating like if the previous books were PG this one would be PG-13. :\

I finished The Judgment by Beverly Lewis. It was excellent and finishing it has made me crazy for the third book, which is what always happens when I read Beverly Lewis. I am now starting Springtime of the Spirit by Maureen Lang, it is the third book in her The Great War Series set during WWI.

Had to read that book during my freshman year in highschool (along with "lord of the flies" and "a tree grows in brooklyn"). Was a good book, to bad it never showed how to actually "kill a mocking bird" :noway:

Blue Like Jazz - Donald Miller

"A couple of years ago... I visited a church in the suburbs, and there was this blowhard preacher talking about how television rots your brain. He said that when we are watching television our minds are working no harder than when we are sleeping. I thought that sounded heavenly. I bought one that afternoon."

I love this guy. \:D/
