Owl City
Has anyone listened to Owl City, that techno project this one guy (I can't remember his name) started? I, personally, think his music is awesome.

Nice try. *plots BBB's fangirlish demise*
I enjoy both the sound and the lyrics of Owl City's songs. It's a neat techno sound that's not overwhelming or repetitive.

Owl City produced a Relient K song called Terminals. It's on the Amazon exclusive download of the Forget and Not Slow Down album. In addition Matt Thiessen of Relient K sings on Fireflies, The Bird and the Worm, and Tidal Waves. He also co-wrote the latter two.

Yeah, I know, and I love that because Relient K is one of my favorite bands. And when I went back and listened to Terminals, I could defintely hear the similarities.
Owl City's music was partially influenced by RK, and you can definitely tell, especially lyric-wise. I think Adam Young's lyrics are more artsy-poetic than wordplay-humorous-poetic like Matt Thiessen's lyrics are, though.

Matt Thiessen also is in the song Cave In. If you listen, you can tell. Their voices sound so similar that I have a hard time telling them apart, though. (also, the genre is electronica, not techno.)

I get them mixed up.
But yeah, I actually noticed that too. When they're doing a song together it sounds like it's the same person doing both back-up and main vocals.

I wasn't surprised at all when I heard this. I was wondering how the newest cd was so good and had such clever lyrics. Go figure that Matt Theissen was behind some of those... So, Adam and Matt Goodby Dubuai! They'd make an awesome album that I would totally buy.
I do what I do.

Matty-T and Adam Young are awesome.
Haha, not really. Matt-T is cute but old, and Adam Young has bad posture.

I actually like Owl City. My friend told me about it the first time and it sounds pretty cool. I didn't listen to it until today because I usually just listen to country.

So, while going to Sprint to pick up our new cell phones, when we got out of the car Fireflies was playing. I love that song.
Love you always, SnC

So I've listened to Fireflies so much recently, I'm now sick of the song AND Owl City.

That's your fault, not Adam Young's.
