Bread

If there's something on your mind that just doesn't seem to fall into any of the other categories, well, it quite likely belongs inside Joe Finneman's marketplace. Think of it as a general store for general discussions!

Bread

Wheat or white, toasted, fried, or regular, butter, jam, jelly, or dry?

Discuss this ancient food staple here.

I only like wheat, homemade bread when it's fresh out of the oven. If it's from the store, I definitely like white better.

I usually eat it dry or just with jam, no butter. :noway:

Well, this is the most fascinating thread ever...

Honey wheat with crunchy peanut butter, or a croissant with Nutella, on rare occasions.

My sister is the main one in charge of bread baking around here, although I can make it if I needed to. Her freshly ground whole wheat rolls and bread are so delicious! I like it warm out of the oven with butter slathered all over it. \:D/

I do prefer whole wheat hamburger buns from the store, as the homemade ones tend to crumble and not stand up to the rigors of hamburger eating. :noway:

Earlier this year I was working on bread making, as we always seem to consume a lot of it. I like toast with butter and jelly. My daughter would eat cinnamon toast every day for two meals or more if she could. \:D/

Huzzah for homemade bread \:D/.

I also know how to make homemade bread, and we do so quite frequently. I usually toast it and put butter and jelly on it . It's just best like that.

KODY, were you inspired by the water thread? ;)

I prefer wheat to white because it's healthier. \:D/

I wanted to have a generic topic similar to that thread and a parody of the Band thread. (Bread == band).

I prefer store-bought wheat bread. I will eat it dry toasted or with just about any sandwich dressings.

My daughter would eat toast at least 3 or 4 times a day if I would let her. She likes it with peanut butter and jelly.

We only eat wheat. I like Peanut butter and butter the best. Sourdough is a favorite as well!

If I had the time, honey wheat homemade bread is the best, but since I usually don't, 100% whole wheat bread, usually just use it in sandwiches.

I just got a few loaves of bread for free so we have rye, sundried tomato and basil, and a few packages of rolls. Courtesy of stores donating their bread on the sell-by date. I love free food!

I love all kinds of bread, but my all time favorite lately has been 'Navajo Fry Bread'. I cover mine with honey or powdered sugar and scarf it down.

I usually use the bread as a base for a taco. I spread some refried beans on it, meat, lettuce, cheese and salsa for a Native American taco. I also like a slice with buffalo stew. :9
