Summer Goals.

Have you made any yet?

If there's something on your mind that just doesn't seem to fall into any of the other categories, well, it quite likely belongs inside Joe Finneman's marketplace. Think of it as a general store for general discussions!

Summer Goals.

Post by Frank »

Like most people...I've set a few goals for the summer: (most of which I know that I will never do) Get my driver's permit, Clean out my room...etc.

Some people that I know are going to take classes and get summer jobs and go off to college and stuff...what are you (my beloved ToOers) going to do? (Or aim to do.)

hopefully get a job..but considering my age..it'll prolly just be babysitting my new neighbors little kid :help: ..or just helping my mom in the garden :wha: *looks forward for when i can get a real job in 2 years..*

hopefully not spend too much money. my friends and i kinda have the tendency to spend more money then we take in [movies, clothes, food]

make my sister an awesome present for when shes goes to college. i cant really think of anything yet..but i want it to be really special. and hopefully i'll find the time to get/make it.

...notice how many 'hopefully's are in this..lol. its always hard for me to work with plans and stuff during summer..

I have a fairly brief list of goals: get my drivers' permit, study for my C3 referee (soccer) certification exam, get ready for university, etc.

I don't have any specific goals yet. I know that if I make a list, I'll never do half the stuff on it anyway. #-o I should thoroughly clean my room and get rid fo the stuff that I don't need anymore, and I'd like to start writing a story, but spending time here is much more tempting! ;) I should finish my old TH AIO fanfic before I start anything new. I will, one of these days! O:)

My goal this summer is to read a ton of books that I bought this spring, but didn't have time to read yet. They're all Christian living type books, so they require at least a certain amount of thinking while reading. This is my list:

The Joy of Fearing God and The Chase by Jerry Bridges
Changed Into His Image by Jim Berg
The Case for A Creator, The Case for Christ and The Case for Faith by Lee Strobel
A Place of Quiet Rest by Nancy Leigh DeMoss
Secret Power to Joy by Susie Shellenberger
Girls of Grace by Point of Grace
Every Young Woman's Battle by Shannon Ethridge
Passion and Purity by Elizabeth Elliot
Wait for Me by Rebekah St. James
Under God by Toby Mac and Michael Tait

And I also need to finish up my school work. American Literature, Bible, and Writing&Grammar. ](*,)

Re-blondify my hair. It's gotten darker during the winter. When I came back from vacations last summer, my hair was so flippin blonde.

I'm also planning to get back into shape and get a nice tan.

I have a lot of stuff I want to get done this summer!

1. Finish crocheting my afghan
2. At least start on a quilt
3. Get my home business going
4. Read all the books I got for my birthday and Christmas
5. And my mom and I might be going to Wilton's Master Course- it remains to be seen if it'll really happen

Hah, goals... they've started to accumulate... :- :anxious:

My important goals :lawyer: :

Switch rooms (brennan to christopher's old room, me into brennan's room, and jess stays in ours).
Get in shape/get a six pack ;) (no, not lose weight, just get in shape. I can hardly walk down the street without huffing and puffing. :anxious:
Paint our new rooms (woo hoo, stripes!)
Go to the grand opening of our new mall (sooo huge!)
Get a babysitting job or something
Get my siblings the perfect presents for their birthdays.

Really, that's my important goals list, I know there are more, but I can't think of them right now.

1. Reestablish daily devotions.
2. Get in shape and establish a regular exercise regimen.
3. Spend my time wisely, as only what's done for Christ counts.

I'm also working at a science camp for a month, going to the beach with my family for a week, and taking a three-week college course on criminology and criminal justice (especially stoked for this!).
