Walker Edmiston

Whit's wiping down the counter, Connie's mopping the floor, and the kids are sipping on their milkshakes. If you want to talk about Adventures in Odyssey the radio drama, this is the spot to do just that!

Amen. :( I hope they do some kind of a tribute on the next podcast, or at mention that he has passed. I think it would be wonderful for his family.

:( Ouch.

How are they going to fill in the gaps in the show? Tom hasn't been in the show much for the past few seasons anyway, but is it possible to simply make the Electric Palace disappear without some serious explanations?

Was this unexpected or did AIO have a heads up that he wasn't doing to well?

Sad news. What I was afraid of when I saw the title. I knew one day a big time AIO actor would go to Heaven.
He will be missed. According to Wikipedia, he was born in 1926, so he was probably 80.

He was awesome as Tom and Bart. RIP, we loved you.

odyssey will never be the same. walker edmiston made odyssey come alive. he brought such life and "joy" to the show, and it will never be the same without him.

i hope that the producers don't try to find another voice actor for bart or any of the other characters he played. and i hope that the writers give a fitting tribute to tom riley and make his death a part of the story.

we'll sure miss him.

I don't know that I want his death to be a part of the story, I hate killing off fictional characters. They're fictional, they can live forever-especially our beloved ones. I agree that Odyssey WILL NOT be the same. Never hearing Tom or bart again? Unthinkable! Thank you for the memories Mr. Edmiston. At least I have hundreds of episodes of Tom and Bart that I can listen to. You will never be forgotten.

I kind of hope they have a "dealing with death" episode about Tom, though... for some reason it just seems appropriate, since it's not like he'd ever leave the town, and he can't just vanish.

Bart... I'd write out in some comical way. ;)

Kind of like Poochie on Itchy and Scratchy. :(

EDIT: This is even worse than I thought because I see he was also the voice of The Whizzer. :(

We will miss him greatly.
I would be interested in hearing everyone else's favorite memories of Walker Edmiston in his role as Tom Riley.
I think my favorite memory would be Tom and Whit's conversation in the "The Mortal Coil."

Augh... wah... Bart will be missed. As for Tom, they can gfind someone else to do the voice, like Hal Smith But that will take a year.

Actually it seems Bart could be emulated better than Tom.

Walker had some great achievements in children entertainment as well, you can tell he loved kids.
