What books are you reading?

The Ocean at the End of the Lane by Neil Gaiman. Strange book, but enjoyable.

I just finished Kathryn Stockett's "The Help" for my summer reading project. It's really good, and I'd definitely recommend it. It's not necessarily historically accurate, but it's definitely a good read, and certainly a lovely commentary on the social lives of Southern white women. Being from the South, I could definitely appreciate the stereotypes being presented, because if they weren't wholly accurate, they certainly weren't far from it.

I'm reading Never by J. Grace Pennington. It's a western, a genre with which I am fairly unfamiliar (aside from old western TV shows, of which I've seen some ^.^), but good so far! And I liked Firmament: Radialloy by her, so I expect I'll enjoy this one! :)

I finished Love Still Stands by Kelly Irvin, it was excellent. Up next for me is Born of Persuastion by Jessica Dotta, this is the first book in her Price of Privilege trilogy. Debut novel, first time read so we shall see.

I finished Born of Persuasion last night, it was excellent and kept me turning the pages. The only negative is that I have to wait until next year to find out what happens next. I've started Into the Whirlwind by Elizabeth Camden. On my Nook I am reading Jane Austen's England by Roy and Lesley Adkins. It is all about England durning Jane Austen's lifetime. Very interesting.

I made the move from fun summer reading to class required reading. Currently I am making my way through Bruce's Commentary on the Gospel of John, Blomberg's "the Historical Reliability of the Gospel of John" D.A. Carson's commentary on John and González's "The Story of Christianity vol. 1" all of which are incredibly fascinating. Soon I will be starting several others about Church of Christ history and Biblical Exegesis.

I finished Daybreak by Shelley Shepard Gray, it was excellent as her books usually are. Up next for me is The Fiddler by Beverly Lewis. It is the first book in her Home to Hollow series/trilogy. The fourth book is due for release tomorrow so I need to get started!! Nothing like waiting until the last minute!!

I try to avoid reading books until they're all out, which never happens, and then I'm impatient... Laurie, I think your timing is perfect. \:D/

I wouldn't say perfect. I have a list of five books that I am dying to get my hands on. So far I have found books that I want but are not on my list.

The biggest problem I face. And I work in a library, so this summer, constantly being surrounded by books, I read way more than I usually do, but I do read quite a bit.

Right now I'm reading a nonfiction on Jack the Ripper by Patricia Cornwell(I think?) in honor of the 125th anniversary of the Whitechapel district of London Autumn of Terror.
