I made this thread for those of us who are going to the 25th Anniversary Live Show in Dallas. And for those of us who plan one meeting up at the ToO party. It would be good to know who will be there, so, post below if you plan on meeting up with us.

Here we can discuss where we are going to meet, and when, and what hotels you all are thinking about staying at. Also, we can discuss what we want to do/bring for the get-together party.

Did we decide if it is definitely going to be the Friday evening before the Show?

I'll be at the afternoon show; I don't know any other details at the moment. Once the plans have been made, I'll tell my dad and he'll plan accordingly.

My family is heading down there Fri. morning and should arrive in Dallas sometime Fri. afternoon/evening.

We don't know where we're staying yet.

GX and I will already be in Texas and not far from Dallas the entire week before the show for a youth group mission trip. The rest of my family will probably drive down to Texas pick us up on the last day of the trip (the day before the show) before everyone else goes home. Other than that, I don't know what our plans are. I probably won't know until much closer to the date.

I have my ticket purchased but I don't know if I'll go for sure. I'd go to the too party to meet people though since it looks like I'll be coming alone.

Here is some things we were thinking about.

Friday night would be cool, like 6-9:00pm? maybe if everyone is staying at a hotel close to the airport, we could just use the lobby? order pizza in, etc. or a restaurant... last time someone made nametags for everyone at the ToO party. and of course invite the Actors! that was the best part last time. some people planned games, I might be able to provide some AIO Prizes for any games/contests that happen that night.

I've created several Odyssey spoofs of popular games ('Odyssey Fluxx' and 'Odyssey Last Word'/'Odyssey Word on the Street') and have (quite) a few more in mind that I would love to make for something like this ('Odyssey-opoly', 'Odyssey Guess Who', 'Catch Colloquialism', 'One Bad Apple to Apples' and one original game revolving around AIO quotes that I have an idea for). They probably won't work for something like this. (too many people) But, I'll definitely bring them.

I will definitely be there! I'll probably get in either Thursday night or Friday morning so, pretty much whenever works for me, I guess. I'll be bringing various Odyssey-themed board/party games, like I mentioned in the other thread. (good idea to make a separate one, by the way, snubs) Also, I played this game once at an acting workshop that might be fun. One player leaves the room and everyone else picks a character. (in this case, from AIO, of course) When they've decided, they go get the person from the hall who then tells sets of three people to do various actions. (i.e. - you, you and you, brush your teeth and then you, you and you change a flat tire) They have to do it like the selected character would (i.e. - Wooton might have licorice toothpaste and Bernard would probably be grumpy about changing the tire) and the objective is for the player who left the room to guess the character as soon as they can. I don't know how well it would work but, it might be fun. Obviously, I like games (my family always plays games and even within my family, I especially enjoy them) and I recognize that some people... don't so, if you'd rather just kind of sit around and chat or do something else, that's cool - those are just some ideas. Also, AIO-themed snacks would be cool. (wod-fam-choc-sods, ice cream skyscrapers, peppermint lemonade, ketchup and chocolate cake , etc.) I'm not sure how we'd pull that off in a hotel but, I could maybe find a grocery store and pick up some ingredients that afternoon, or something.

One other thing; have we thought about doing it at the church itself? That way we'd all be close to it and it would maybe be easier to convince some actors to stop by. Of course, they'll probably be setting up/rehearsing Friday night but, really all we'd need would be like a Sunday School room or something and the church's web site makes it seem like they're pretty liberal about letting people use their building. (and, of course, we'd clean up and everything) So, I kind of think, if we asked the church and Focus, they'd probably be ok with that. Again, just a suggestion.

Regardless of what it ends up looking like, I'm super stoked to hang out with ToOers!

Friday night is good--if we get there that early. We might not get there until Friday night. Depends on where we stay (we might stay with some relatives in Dallas), how long we want to be gone, and how much travel can be worked into my siblings budgets.

In other words, many details to work out but if I can make it to the party I most certainly will.

That would be a good idea to look into using the church. If my game plan works out, I would be getting into town around 5ish. It's a good thing we have around 3 months to plan. I will for sure do my best to be there for whatever.

My sisters and I will have no problem being there Friday because we plan to get down there by Wednesday or Thursday. We want to do some other sight seeing while we're there.

Using the church sounds like a great idea. That would make everything real convenient (for us and the actors). I have two other games we could play too, Signs and Skimp. Oh, and we could also play Spit...we just need to make sure we bring some cards.

Also, I think the actors would be more likely to come if the party started around 4:00-5:00pm (assuming they have rehearsals and such around 6:00-7:00pm). Of course, If they are done early enough, they could always stop in after. It would also be good if we made some kind of invitations for the actors. That way we could send it to them near the end of May, and then again a day or so before the party. My mom says sending an invitation twice works best (it get's it in there head more). So, once we fine tune the details, I could make the invitations (graphics wise), if someone could help with wording. I think it would be to our advantage if we start looking into using the church soon. I find that things work best if planed and set way ahead of time.

Hey maybe one of us could contact one of the guys running the Live Show, to see what the actors are going to be doing in terms of rehearsing before the show. That way, we might be able to plan around their schedule.
