Re: The Dark Knight Rises
I am kind of wondering why so many little kids were at a midnight release to a movie like that, but ah well. :( I absolutely agree with this. One couple brought their baby to the show...that baby was shot and seriously wounded. What the kree? Hello! Young children (a BABY, in this case) should be i...

Re: The Dark Knight Rises
This. I loved TDK, but I could never figure out why it drew such massive adulation (except for Ledger, of course). But this was just...mmm. There are a few things that are off, but in the end, the movie adds up to an incredibly well-crafted story. So good.Mike Lowery wrote:DKR was the best of the trilogy by far.

It helps that they're written by the same people, for the most part. (Steven Moffat and Mark Gatiss.)

Re: BBC's "Sherlock" Series
I enjoyed the first series, didn't think much of the second, with the exception of Reichenbach Falls, which was well done. Irene Adler was well handled, but I just didn't enjoy the episode. And Hounds was bizarre. Booo. (Why, yes, I can make mature media observations. Booo.)

Dear Focus on the Family, I'll tell you what you need, since obviously I as a fan am much more knowledgeable of how all this works compared to you career professionals who do this for a living. Two words. GRITTY REBOOT. Look how well it worked for Batman! Totally ignore the established history and ...

Re: I miss....
I think having a few oldbies around to get nostalgic about 'the glory days' is what makes a message board like this as amazing as it ever was, and still is. To think that those 'oldbies' were once 15 and 16 year olds trying to figure out life... and now they're raising their own children ? And if T...

That....may be the stupidest thing I have ever read. “Hard science fiction generally isn’t fascist, but one can make a plausible case that Star Trek being fascist. Really, you can? A) They have no politics. It’s a military dictatorship. Uh. No. The United Federation of Planets, anyone? Cardassia wou...

I'm really sad that Ten's TARDIS coming back didn't signify his brief return. :( Maybe TARDIS could've archived a memory of him as well? Itw ould've been funny... but probably a good thing he wasn't in there. =P She probably could've archived his image, but not his soul/personality. Then again, she...

Re: The Dark Knight Rises news!
I like the Joker from Batman: the Animated Series more too. He seemed to truly enjoy being evil for the sake of it. (And he had Harley Quinn.) At times, TDK Joker seemed a little bored by it all. That's not to say I don't love TDK; I do. But yeah, my favorite part of the movie wasn't the Joker. And ...
