Re: Rank the Pixar films!
Ooh, this is a tough challenge, considering that I haven't seen some of these movies in years! I'll give it a go, though: 1. Toy Story: A+ (A childhood favorite that I still love after all these years.) 2. A Bug's Life: C (I saw this in 1998 when it first came out, and found it boring at the time. I...

Re: Toy Story 3
I watched it for the second time today, and enjoyed the movie just as much this time around. The original "Toy Story" was truly a childhood favorite, and as much as I enjoy the first sequel, this may just be my favorite. The humor was excellent, and the emotion was very heartfelt; indeed, ...

Re: The Young Indiana Jones Chronicles
I watched a few years and years ago and, though I can't remember very many details, I remember liking them. Some stories were about him as a child; others, as a young adult. The context was an elderly Indy telling others stories of his past adventures to others (though apparently these bookends were...

Re: 664 The Jubilee Singers, Part 1
Before album 51, Dave Arnold had written only one episode. Finding out that he wrote this 3-parter was a welcome surprise, and I hope to see more scripts penned by him in the future. The behind-the-scenes feature of his coming up with the idea for this episode reminded me of Paul McCusker's story of...

Re: 663 Finish What You...
This episode had more of an "Odyssey feel" than some of the others this season, but there wasn't much to it. I could make some comments about episode specifics, maybe about Eugene's sentimentality toward a guitar seeming strange, or that two weeks isn't enough time to learn a song on the g...

I'm reading Looking for God in Harry Potter by John Granger. The author makes some excellent points, and I'd recommend it to both fans and skeptics of the Harry Potter series.

I'll take #7, the Chatter Telephone. I played with that toy growing up, so it was a special treat that it made an appearance in Toy Story 3.

Re: 662: Grandma's Visit
Definitely the most entertaining and the most relistenable of the season, and a strong contender (so far) for this season's best episode too (tied with "Target of the Week"). The Rosalita bit was a teeny-tiny soap-opera-ish, but I loved it all the same. I loved the characters, the humor an...

Re: 661: When You’re Right, You’re Right
I moderately liked this episode. The adult-actors-playing-kids are still distracting and do more to detach me from the story than engage me in it, but the story wasn't half-bad, and I prefer it to "Game for a Mystery" (though neither are quite as good as "Clutter" and "Targe...

Re: What is the last movie you saw?
The old 1950 movie Treasure Island . Really liked the ending! I remember reading the book and loving it, and then seeing that adaptation. I can't remember much of either, but I'd recommend the book if you haven't read it already. Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone Ditto! Oh wait ... ;)

Re: The Character's Real Ages
For the most part, I see Odyssey as following "real time" until the first hiatus. Episodes aired all throughout the year, Christmas episodes aired at Christmas, summer episodes aired during the summer, and characters generally refer to the timing of past events as when those episodes first...
