For NT study I am trying to stop using English translations, but when I do, I generally use several translations including but not limited to: the Knox Bible, The New Jerusalem (catholic) Bible, NIV UK, NT Wright's NT paraphrase and the Message.

As a student of Koine (NT Greek) and soon to be Biblical Hebrew, I am always curious as to what translations of the Bible are most popular. So what is your favorite translation and or paraphrase?

Currently I'm working through several Gnostic works from the Nag Hammadi library, Codex Sinaiticus, and a Coptic Grammar.
