739: The Launch, Part 1
Go! \:D/ I'm really digging the theme for the Odyssey Adventure Club Season 1: Whit and the folks in Odyssey explore what it means to have a relationship with God while they learn about serving others around the world. The two topics (relationship with God and missions) are relevant for all! I'm 27-...

Re: Reviews of OAC eps?
Haha, to an old member just coming back to the board, I think it's funny that there aren't any individual threads for the new episodes. We're not called The Town of Odyssey for nothing. I may start some threads. :) EDIT: OK, I started a thread for The Launch, Part 1 . I like the idea of having a tra...

Re: OAC for Only $5
I joined the Odyssey Adventure Club just now! \:D/ I haven't listened to Adventures in Odyssey (or visited this board) in a long, long time. The main reason I joined is to listen to the new episode to be released about Carry the Cure and Alaska! I've been an Alaskan resident for a couple years now a...

Re: Will You Be Joining The OAC?
I will most likely not be joining the OAC. Since my days of avid fandom (including setting up a spreadsheet to rate all episodes and serving as a leader on this board; I still remember listening on OnePlace in 8th grade and hearing the Leonard Meltsner saga hot off the presses in my first year of co...

Re: 738: The Pilot, Part 2
The episode was great. As a pharmacist, I liked that counterfeit drugs played a part. But even better, it appears Jeff will be sticking around. I like him as a character and yes, love interest for Connie.

Re: 729: No Chemistry Whatsoever
Hi guys! Just popping in to say that I was at the recording session for this episode (and others) in January, and got to be in it! I have one line: I'm the character of Alli in one of the Sunday School scenes about halfway through, who recites a verse about not being afraid. Fun fact: they let me c...

Re: 735: Life Expectancy, Part 2
I listened to Life Expectancy Parts 1 & 2 today. It is good to see a weighty issue (death) addressed and to see that Odyssey time is moving along. Like we learned from the Leonard Meltsner saga, introducing a formerly unbeknownst relative really shakes things up. I loved how Connie addresses Jul...

Re: 732: Repent After Me
I really enjoyed this episode. I liked hearing how Barrett's internal conflict developed and the emphasis on forgiveness. The episode has a creative title as well.
I caught the shout out to Reddo while I was listening and just now learned that Bren was also mentioned. Nice.

After listening to the rest of the episodes this season, The Holy Hoopster is easily my favorite of the season and the past few years. It is possibly an all time favorite.

Nice job taking a story from recent pop culture: Tim Tebow and Jeremy Lin Yes! Before the AIO season started, I was most looking forward to this episode and it delivered. Excellent work, AIO team. =D> EDIT: The AIO team did so many things well. In particular, Jay's edginess made the show. I enjoyed...

Re: Does Satan know we exist?
Is Satan the direct cause of all bad things that exist? No. Bad things result because of our bad choices. Bad things result because of other people’s bad choices. Bad things result because we live in a fallen world. Is Satan the direct cause of many bad things that exist? Yes. Peter makes it clear ...

Re: 706: To Mend Or Repair
At first I liked the Eugene/Katrina story better since it tackled a big issue [infertility], then the Barrett/Priscilla/Jay story grew on me when Barrett invited Jay to do the announcements and the two were sparring back and forth. That was hilarious. Bringing in infertility was brilliant. (I wonder...

It was decent. I liked the meat of the story, but could have done without the bookends (Wooton's stories and Olivia's screaming).

Re: Is British spelling better than American spelling?
I prefer American spelling since I like conciseness. For measurements, though, Metric >> American since the former is much more intuitive. What you call American is originally English, is it not? And how is metric more intuitive? If you think about actual practice, don't you think the English units...
