Re: The Dark Knight Rises
Not very impressed with the trailers, especially seeing Ann Hathaway in them. Though reading the comic books makes Bane a very interesting character, but probably won't peak up high to Keith Ledger's performance of the Joker. Honestly, they probably shouldn't even make Batman into a trilogy IMO. Loo...

Re: Legend Of Korra
Gosh, whats up with these love triangles. Its such a cliched in our entertainment world today. That being said, I think that Amon might be a bender. Taking away a person's power permanently is also known as "energy bending". Though I'm not sure if it uses the same "ki" spiritual ...

Re: Super Smash Bros.
I played all the Super Smash games. They're great party games with items on, but the more I play the games competitively (especially brawl) the more I feel that the game is incredibly unbalanced.
So yeah the series will always be in my heart, but its not something I can take seriously.

Re: A Series of Unfortunate Events
I regretted reading them because most of my questions were never answered, and I think he did that on purpose. I really love how he sinks you into the story with the mystery's and dark humor he adds in. Though I had to suspend disbelief that most grown ups in the series were either useless or a bunc...

Re: Legend Of Korra
Apparently, looking at both Amon's and Mako's backstory, firebenders were a bunch of jerks.

Re: The Harry Potter Thread
My personal favorite would be Prisoner of Azkaban. Not just because it was the first book I read in the series, but it never had any appearance of "He-Who-Must-Not-Be-Named". Instead we're given more backstory about the incident behind the past of Harry's parents and what truly happened. I...

Re: The Hunger Games
Any of you guys read or heard of Battle Royale? Its a japanese manga which almost has the same concept of putting kids in a desolate place to fight to the death. Except its much more violent, gory, and really messed up. Many people say that Hunger Games copied from it, but I disagree with that asses...

Re: Touch
I like how they're grabbing you into the episodes. There's so many things we don't know (such as the African American women's mother). I believe many of these key events in these episodes will tie in all together (maybe somewhere in the series finale). I still haven't watched episode 4 though. I'm g...

I really wanted Slytherin. It stinks that my friends aren't adding me as friends because I'm not a slytherin  like them and my other friends from a different forum all got into Gryffindor. At least people here got into Ravenclaw. Salem Witch Trials... Enough said. Well I learned 4 things from ...

Cool, I'm not the only Harry Potter fan that was psyched for pottermore. If anyone of you guys want to add me, I'm riverstorm11190. I hate it how you can't have your own username. I chose this username because the number is easy to memorize.

Re: Legend Of Korra
I just saw the first two episodes on Korra Nation...oh my word, I am SO EXCITED. They were fantastic; go look them up and watch them NAO. They are okay. I don't think that it is going to be a good extension of the first series though, I like the direction this show is going. I love the first Avatar...

Re: Touch
I only watched the first 2 episodes of it. It seems more like a family show... I don't know I was expecting more 24 action. I mean it cool how all the events and numbers relate to each other and all, but I wonder how much this plot can play out. I mean once I watched the pilot, episode 2 didn't real...

I would appreciate his music more if he didn't use so many studio magic like autotune in his music. I want to hear his natural voice. Other than that he's actually pretty enjoyable to listen to. I have about 3 songs from his on my ipod.

The hacking group anonymous originated through 4 chan board...... But really we don't need a 4 chan board... especially not in a very conservative board this one... absolutely no >_>. And this certain series is very big with the anime community, I was surprised. I even see guys wearing a pink "...

Re: What is the last movie you saw?
Love Emperor's New Groove. Recently saw 2 movies at the theatre: Chronicle and Safe House. Chronicle was an amazing movie. From the story progression to the characters, to the actors performance. It was all amazing. Except for the CGI effects, but for a 12 million budget movie its still darn passabl...

Jeremy Lin
I'm surprised this guy is not even brought up in this thread. He's currently pretty blown up in the NBA with his "linsanity". To those who don't know who he is, Jeremy Lin is an asian american who is a practicing Christian. A harvard graduate with a degree in economics (he's pretty much a ...
