Unhoused Patron
There is a young man that has been a regular patron of my library for the last three years, who has been homeless since last summer. With the snowstorms and bitter cold currently slamming the Midwestern region many people in my community are worried for him, including the rest of us who work at the ...

Re: How Do You Earn Money?
I'm an employee of my local public library. It's a small town library so we don't have specific "departments" aside from adult, teen and children's. My two primary responsibilities are cataloging new materials and handling intake and fulfillment of interlibrary loan requests, but I also do...

Re: What role would you fill at Whit's End or in Odyssey?
I'd most likely fill the same role/have the same job I do in real life, working at the public library. Now, if Whit were to hire someone specifically to maintain the Whit's End library on a daily basis I wouldn't say no to that...

Re: Will Ryan has passed away.
I believe they've said his last episode as Eugene has aired, but he does some other voices in other episodes yet to come. I could be mistaken. According to Katie in the "Will's last AIO recording sessions" episodes of Tell Ya Later, she and Will weren't recording for Connie and Eugene tha...

Juggling three or four right now. I checked Abandoned in Death by J.D. Robb and The Shepherd's Wife by Amy Hunt out from the library today. I'm also going to attempt to start the Wingfeather Saga this year.

Re: Sleepiest Episodes
For night listening I normally like to fall back on B-TV episodes, KYDS radio episodes "Battle at the Kishon" and "Fairy Tal-E-Vision", or part 4 of the Plan B arc of the Novacom saga.

Re: Will Ryan has passed away.
Does this mean no more Eugene? I doubt that they'll ever find the right voice... 😥 At this time, we don't know. All we do know is that the Odyssey team is still discussing it, and that Will did record several episodes that will be released this year. According to a pair of "behind the scenes&q...

Re: Will Ryan has passed away.
Of all the things to make me post again... I saw the news last night on Patreon, and it still hasn't sunk in completely. My heart is broken, but I know that the hearts of his family and friends must be shattered. I do find some comfort in knowing that his fight was a brief one, and that he's now hom...

In no particular order: -Eugene and Katrina learned that they were unable to have children of their own. Since then they have taken in a foster (not adopted) son named Buck Oliver. -Penny Wise moved to town and became Connie's friend and roommate. She also met Wooton and the two of them fell in love...

Re: Favorite Jack and Joanne Memories
I just couldn't believe it when I saw the article on Katie Leigh's Facebook page this morning. And yet, it somehow seems fitting to me that both Janet and Alan should pass within less than a month of each other. It was hard to imagine Joanne without Jack. My all-time favorite Jack and Joanne episode...

"Never Let Me Go" by Kazuo Ishiguro. I'm already a little familiar with the plot and the premise, not because of the movie but because of a Japanese drama mini-series released earlier this year that was based on the book, but I'm really getting into it. I also bought "Behold the Man&q...

Re: Favorite Mr. Whittaker
Hmm, this is a tough question, because undoubtedly Hal Smith really formed the character of Mr. Whittaker. But I guess I always connected more with Paul Herlinger. Perhaps cause he was around for my favorite period in Odyssey time, and his journey with Eugene and Connie and the rest of Odysseians r...

Re: Adventures in Odyssey Headcanons
Yeah, guess what...I came up with some more... Michael Mushnik lost custody of Eugene not for criminal reasons, but for medical ones. Not long after Eugene had been left with him Michael suffered an accident and sustained injuries to his leg, back and hip, bad enough to ensure that he would be spend...

Re: Favourite/Least Favourite Episodes
Why don't you ask something easy, like what's my favorite book? ;) Let's see. My "Favorites" playlist for AIO in iTunes has about 30 episodes on it right now. I'd have to say the B-TV and KYDS Radio episodes are among my favorites, and tops in those are "BTV: Envy", "OT Acti...

Re: Scratched disc!! D=
I own all the physical albums currently released. I love having a physical copy because I normally listen from the radio and it feels more like I own it. HOWEVER, I have several scratched discs (most only interfere with Chris talking at the end, and a couple others are so miner I can still get thro...
