Re: Pizza Pizza
Does the pizza have anchovies? If the answer is no then it's a good pizza. If you're in Minneapolis and the restuarant industry has awakened from covid, stop in at Fat Lorenzo's just off of Lake Nokomis. But you gotta plan to go at 3 in the afternoon when no one is there, or be prepared to wait. Wor...

Re: Coronavirus
With so many Americans on the verge of rioting over the alleged suppression of their freedoms, governors are in a tough spot here. The folks with their torches and pitchforks ready to go need to take a cue from my girl TS and just calm down. We'll get through this. But we need to be patient. It's n...

Re: Most politically incorrect episode?
It is much better with Whit pointing out the errors, but as a sound clip, it's still not great. Ha. Ok, heard out of context you've got a point on that one :p Even the word "Indian" comes across very poorly to me, though I know it was more acceptable at the time the episode was made, and ...

Re: The Forbidden Episodes
There may be others that I'm forgetting, but the main episodes I remember being required to skip are Castles & Cauldrons and The Twilife Zone (the weird one with the chicken). I realized that as a mature adult, I now have the freedom to listen to any AIO episodes I want, but I still haven't lis...

Re: Most politically incorrect episode?
It's been awhile, but I remember disliking "The One About Trust, Parts 1-2". Connie was worried about a wage gap between herself and Eugene and the resolution was weird. I'd need to relisten to it to be able to judge it fully. A bit weird, yes, but plenty of lessons against political corr...

Re: Coronavirus
Supermarkets here technically have food but its picked over. Since the rumor is we will all be asked to shelter in place for two weeks, I picked up some random canned soup, etc, but "good" stuff was pretty much gone. They had a huge selection of canned wax beans left which amused me. \:D/...

Re: Coronavirus
I will admit that it is worse than I originally thought. But I still think people are waaaayyy overreacting. (not to mention the toilet paper part) Ditto that. To show how seriously I'm taking this very serious thing, I got together with friends on Friday and played the board game pandemic while dr...

If I'm not mistaken, the goal Dobson had was 2,000.Peachey Keen wrote:If I'm not mistaken, on the old WhitsEnd.org, there was a bio or something that said that Dr. Dobson was wanting to do 1,000 episodes of AIO. I'm going to try to find that page on the Internet Archive to make for sure that's what it said.

Re: Listening to AIO in chronological order
Taking the conversation back to the original topic, this is the only way I listen to AIO anymore. I have a print out in my car listing the episodes in chronological order, starting with Spare Tire and going to the present (it's around 25 pages long), and I listen on my commute. I'd recommend it, the...

I'm not going to pick this apart--tonight, anyway, because it's past bedtime and such--but I did want to address this: (And in my studies, I found that the young earth doctrine is relatively new in the history of the church. If I recall right it started gaining a foothold in the church in the mid 18...

Re: Starting over
This is the only way I listen to the series anymore. Like you I listen on my commute. I have every episode and start with the original Focus Dramas that came before Family Portraits, listening all the way to whatever was last released. The process takes about 8 months.
